FCI On-the-Road: Bauman College
FCI On-the-Road is a series of off-site workshops designed in the likeness our tried-and-true curriculum that’s been distilled into a more condensed and accessible format. Each month, we’re working with a different partner to spread entrepreneurial education to food artisans and entrepreneurs in a new area of the Bay.
In March, we’re working with Bauman College to present aspiring entrepreneurs with Business Planning tactics they can use as a baseline for launching a new business. Food Craft Institute instructor Wendy Weiden will teach students all the components that go into outlining a plan that can grow with their business for years to come. Workshop topics include:
- Establishing a business vision
- Developing a business plan
- Selecting sales channels
- Assessing operational holes & gaps
- Determining COGS, sales projections & profit margins
Other upcoming stops “on-the-road” include a Food Business Marketing Workshop at CUESA at the Ferry Building in San Francisco, as well as future spring pitstops in Sacramento, Silicon Valley, and beyond.
