Since 1993, Dani has had his hands inside the coffee industry as a knowledgeable coffee roaster, QC specialist, seasoned barista, retail marketer / merchandizer, operations director, brand developer, educator, production manager, community builder and positive communicator. Dani has an eye for finding problems and works through them thoughtfully and quickly. He has successfully developed several coffee brands and continues to support the community at large to succeed in their projects.
As Head of Coffee Strategy & Development at Bellwether Coffee Co., Dani understands that there are many ways of roasting and experiencing coffee. His goal is to help aspiring roasters find their way, whichever direction they head in. Coffee is a very personal experience and he does not promote “the way” to roast coffee, but “a way”. His vast experience with many styles of roasting allows him to offer guidance at any angle. He naturally looks toward the positive aspects of all coffee and tries to leave the negative side to a minimum. Dani is definitely someone you want on your team.
Dani is the Coffee Category Chairperson of the Good Food Awards, a member of the SCAA Roaster’s Guild and an active participant in the Bay Area Roasters’ Guild.
