M. Eisemann & A. Wilson
Along with Tia Harrison, Melanie Eisemann, and Angela Wilson are the founders and co-owners of Avedano’s Holly Park Market, a butcher shop in the Bernal Heights neighborhood in San Francisco. The three food-industry veterans came together in 2007 and envisioned a butcher shop and specialty market with great food and quality service that would serve the needs of the local families in the community. Avedano’s took over a space formerly occupied by Cicero’s Meats, a family-owned market that opened in 1955 and served the neighborhood for several decades.
Melanie has been involved in the food industry world for twenty years, her passion for good food led her into the world of humanely raised meats, locally produced goods and sustainable fishing practices. Since opening the meat shop, she has become a little obsessed about learning how to butcher, cook and speak on the subject of meat.
Angela is also the owner of Divine Chai, a wholesale tea brewing company serving the SF Bay Area. A professional cook and entrepreneur since age 20, Angela combines her natural leadership with a commitment to supplying her community with locally sourced, consciously raised and respectfully butchered animals.
Together, the women of Avedano’s believe that exceptional meals start with exceptional raw materials—and with a combined 40 years experience in the food industry, they should know. They source premium products their customers can feel good about: grass-fed beef, wild-caught and responsibly farmed fish, seasonal local and organic produce, and handpicked gourmet pantry items. Their mission is to provide our customers with great food they can feel confident eating.
