Nico Freccia
Nico Freccia is the co-founder and chief operating officer of 21st Amendment Brewery. Nico discovered home brewing in the early 1990s and quickly immersed himself in anything he could learn about beer, eventually becoming a writer for the Celebrator Beer News brewspaper and numerous homebrewing magazines. As a recovering theater major, he was doomed to a life of waiting tables, bartending and managing restaurants. When he met his business partner, brewer Shaun O’Sullivan, in 1995, the two decided to make a go of it for themselves. They opened the 21st Amendment brewpub in San Francisco in 2000 and helped to spur the canned beer revolution when they launched their beer exclusively in cans in 2008. Today they are one of the fastest growing craft breweries in the country. If you’re ever at a beer festival and see a guy with a big goofy watermelon hat, vest and eyeglasses, that’s Nico. Go say hello.
