Ally DeArman has been working to support local food systems in the Bay Area since graduating from Stanford University in 2008. Her past endeavors have included selling vegetables and running nutrition programs for elementary-age students within the Oakland Unified School District. In 2009, she interned for the first-ever Eat Real Festival and returned every summer for the annual event. In 2012 she began working for the Food Craft Institute year-round to support Marketing & Outreach efforts as well as Program Coordination. She now serves as the organization’s Director.
