Marshka is a Polish-born, Australian-raised, San Francisco-dwelling nomad. Her path to the Bay Area began with an epiphany in a meadow, wearing borrowed Wellington boots and searching for mushrooms. Four months later she’d quit her day job and was slinging America’s finest curds at San Francisco’s Mission Cheese. In between cheesemongering, Marshka ran two Butcher’s Guild Conferences – the national gathering of artisanal butchers – and founded a cheese-tasting events and catering company, further spreading the good food word. Working with craft food makers taught her how much more delicious things are when they have a story.
